From my many years at Stock Yards Packing some of our largest customers such as Morton’s Steakhouse and Bally’s Casinos were charged a flat fee above our labor and material. It was a way for our customers to control their costs while still insuring that they received the highest quality products available.
Many custom builders charge a percentage of construction cost. The problem with this method is that the builder has no incentive to manage the cost of the project. As the cost of the construction rises, so does the profit margin for the builder.
At RedRock we have decided to take a different approach to custom home building . We feel this approach is more beneficial to our customers and creates a true partnership.
When we build custom homes for customers that own their own land, the management fee is structured as a flat fee. Once the home has been designed, RedRock and the customer agree upon a flat dollar fee that will be paid to RedRock to manage the project from beginning to end.
Any cost above and beyond our fee is at our builder cost; no mark, no shell game. We want to make sure that when our customers choose to upgrade areas of their home, every penny buys them what they want. Traditionally builders will charge ten to twenty percent above the cost of the upgrade.
It is important to us at RedRock that you receive the most for your money.
